My outgoing water and waste won't go out. Is this associated with coper piping?
Not likely. Most of the time, it’s the outgoing sewer pipe (usually clay
piping 4″ in diameter) that needs work. The sewer pipe is probably cracked
or extremely mangled by tree roots, so all outgoing sewage is blocked.
Ameriserve can replace your main sewer line using our “trenchless” replacement method.

I have a slab leak, what now?
Slab leaks are caused by inferior soft copper piping that was rolled out
and placed in your slab. Most of us instinctively try to get the leak
fixed by our repiping specialists, then notify our insurance company,
then look to “repipe” eventually. All of the above seems to make sense,
HOWEVER: 1) Insurance companies may or may not pay to “re-route” one section
of the piping system, most do not, and if you don’t repipe, many companies
will threaten to “drop” you after multiple leaks. 2) Most aren’t equipped
to repipe, because a one or two man crew would require a couple of weeks
to do the job, not to mention “NO wall patching”. 3) Most homes built
after 1985, are “post tension cable” homes….installed in your cement slab
floor, to withstand earthquakes; meaning no immediate “jackhammering”
of floors to make repairs on a slab leak. We could go on and on, but the
bottom line is, after you have paid out of pocket for about 3 leak repairs,
an entire repipe could have been done!

cable” method, are starting to deteriorate.
